Destiny is Bungie's

Destiny, Destiny 2, Bungie and the Bungie logo are trademarks of Bungie, Inc. The game, its content, its artwork, its music, its names and everything else that makes it what it is are Bungie's property. Nothing on that list belongs to this project and nothing on it is claimed.

PlayStation is a trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. They are named here only to say what this runs on and what it does not come from.

Not connected to anybody

Relight is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Bungie, Inc., Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or partners. It is an independent project written by people who like the game. Nothing here speaks for Bungie and nothing here should be taken as coming from them.

No game content is distributed

This project hands out no part of the game. It holds no game files for download, and the server does not send you the game's content. What it serves are the answers a client expects from a server, written from scratch.

To play, you use a copy of the game you already have. An operator running this server describes their own copy to it so that the client is told what it expects to hear; the description is a list of names and numbers, and the content itself never leaves the operator's machine.

Why this exists

A build of a game whose servers have been turned off cannot be played at all. This is an attempt to let people who own it keep playing it. It takes nothing away from anybody: the current game is Bungie's business and is not touched by this.
